Arsene Wenger admits that Chelsea look like they will be able to defend their Premier League title next season.

The west London side are currently preparing for their second season under Antonio Conte after the Italian manager led the Blues to the Premier League title last term in his first campaign in charge.

Chelsea missed out on the chance to win a domestic double last term when they were beaten by Arsenal in the FA Cup final back in May.

However, the Blues have signed four new players this summer as Conte looks to steer his team to back-to-back Premier League titles next season.

And Wenger is fully expecting to see Chelsea be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title next season.

Wenger is quoted as saying by Metro: “I expect them [Chelsea] to fight for the title.”

Chelsea are preparing to take on Wenger’s Arsenal side when the Blues face the Gunners in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners themselves will be aiming to improve their Premier League form after they ended up in a disappointing fifth place in the table last term.

Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season.
