The Gunners are thought to be facing a battle to keep the Chile international in the summer transfer window, with less than 12 months remaining on his current deal.
Sanchez has been linked with Arsenal’s title rivals Chelsea and Manchester City during the summer months but Wenger is thought to be reluctant to sell the forward to another Premier League team.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, Serie A champions Juventus and Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain have all been listed as potential destinations for the 28-year-old.
Sanchez returned to Arsenal for pre-season training on Tuesday after a bout of flu delayed his flight back to England ahead of this weekend’s Community Shield.
Arsenal manager Wenger moved to played down concerns about his prized asset ahead of their first competitive clash of the 2017-18 season.
“He looks good, like he’s never been away,” Wenger told his media conference on Thursday.
“He’s over the flu – that was never a problem for us. Of course [I have spoken to him]. I speak to my players. Nothing. I have just answered.
“I will not give anything away on that. The only thing I can tell you is he is focused. My decision is clear. He will stay, it’s as simple as that and he will respect that.”
Sanchez scored 25 goals in 37 games in the Premier League last season to finish as Arsenal’s leading goal-scorer.
The South American moved to Arsenal in a £35m deal from La Liga giants Barcelona in the 2014 summer transfer window.
