Both Tottenham and Chelsea are still interested in signing Ross Barkley from Everton this summer but there have been no official offers for the midfielder yet, according to journalist Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports News reporter is claiming that both of the London clubs hold an interest in trying to sign Barkley this summer but neither have made a bid.

Barkley’s future has been a source of speculation this summer, with the 23-year-old midfielder having only one year left on his current deal with Everton.

Now, reporter Sheth is claiming that both Spurs and Chelsea are keen on signing Barkley, but as there have not yet been any bids, the transfer saga could run on until the end of the summer transfer window.

Speaking on Sky Sports News on Wednesday evening, Sheth said: “There are still no offers for Ross Barkley.

“We are told there is still interest from Tottenham and Chelsea but this one could go all the way to deadline day.”

Chelsea, who won the Premier League last term, are still believed to be on the lookout for more signings this summer, despite having already brought in four new players ahead of Antonio Conte’s second season in charge.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are still searching for their first signing of the summer as Mauricio Pochettino prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next term.
