Antonio Conte wants to bring at least three more new players into his Chelsea team before the close of the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Conte wants to sign a midfielder, a wing-back and a forward before the end of the month.

Chelsea have been relatively active in the summer transfer window after having brought in four new players – Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.

However, some of their shortcomings were exposed on Saturday afternoon as they slumped to a shock 3-2 loss to Burnley at Stamford Bridge in their opening Premier League game of the season.

The same story says Chelsea are interested in signing right-backs Joao Cancelo and Serge Aurier, with their reported pursuit of Alex Sandro from Juventus proving unfruitful so far.

The article also suggests that the west London side are ready to make a move to try and sign Danny Rose from Tottenham, if Spurs indicate that the England international could become available.

Chelsea must now dust themselves down after their defeat on Saturday and prepare for their trip to Wembley to take on Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday afternoon.
