Philippe Coutinho doesn’t want to play for Liverpool again as he continues to be linked with Barcelona, according to Kaveh Solhekol.

The Brazilian’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in recent days as the Spanish side look to replace Neymar.

Liverpool are understood to have turned down Barcelona’s latest bid for Coutinho and the Reds remain determined not to sell the 25-year-old this summer.

However, the matter became more complicated for the Reds when Coutinho was reported to have handed in a transfer request on Friday.

Now, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol says that there is unlikely to be a way back for Coutinho after his latest move.

Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Philippe Coutinho doesn’t want to play for Liverpool again. No going back. Relationship with manager not great. LFC still in strong position.”

Coutinho did not feature for Liverpool in their Premier League opener against Watford on Saturday lunchtime due to injury.

The Reds have signed three players so far this summer after having brought in Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Dominic Solanke.
