Jesper Blomqvist believes Manchester United will still get some more transfer deals over the line before the start of the new season.

The Red Devils have made three summer signings so far as Jose Mourinho looks to get his squad ready for the demands of four competitions next season.

Manchester United started their summer business with the £30.7m addition of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof from Portuguese champions Benfica.

The 20-time English champions beat title rivals Chelsea to the signature of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal.

The Red Devils brought in two-time Premier League winner Nemanja Matic in a £40m deal from the Premier League champions on Monday evening.

Mourinho is thought to be keen on the signing of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic to add more pace to his Manchester United team.

Speaking to BT Sport about Manchester United’s transfer business so far, Blomqvist, who won the treble in 1999, tipped Mourinho to complete a couple more deals.

“I think there’s a little bit left to come out of the transfer window and then we’ll know,” Blomqvist said.

“If United can find more consistency they will be up there.”

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term but still managed to win the EFL Cup and the Europa League to end the season on a positive note.
