Gareth Bale has ruled out a potential move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The Wales international’s future has been a source of debate since Real Madrid were 4-1 winners against Juventus in the Champions League final back in June.

Isco started ahead of Bale in the Cardiff showpiece before the 28-year-old came off the bench in the second half to help los Blancos get over the line in the final.

Real Madrid are rumoured to be interested in signing AS Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window to prompt talk of Bale being sacrificed to make room for the France star.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was rumoured to be interested in adding the former Tottenham Hotspur winger to his team to add more pace in wide areas ahead of the 2017-18 season.

However manager Zinedine Zidane started Bale in Tuesday night’s Uefa Sup Cup in what was interpreted as a clear message of the Real Madrid coach’s desire to keep the Welshman.

Real Madrid were 2-1 winners against Europa League winners Manchester United thanks to goals from Casemiro and Isco in Macedonia.

Asked about a potential move to Manchester United before the close of the summer transfer window, Bale ruled out leaving the Spanish capital in the near future.

“I don’t want to move. The club are happy with everything. Everything has gone as normal like it has every year,” Bale is quoted as saying by the Daily Telegraph.

“I feel like I’m happy to fight for my place. We’re all fighting for our places anyway. It’s nothing new in football. Everything’s good, we’re enjoying it, we [the family] are all settled.”
