Pedro Rodriguez gave Chelsea the lead early in the first half when he curled home a brilliant opener after being left in space on the edge of the box from a corner.
New signing Davide Zappacosta then made it 2-0 shortly after when his mis-hit cross ended up in the back of the net.
Cesar Azpilicueta added a third in the second half as Antonio Conte’s men ran riot, before substitute Tiemoue Bakayoko made it 4-0 in the 72nd minute with a deflected low shot.
Michy Batshuayi, who started the game, then made it five with a simple low finish into the bottom-left corner, before bundling home a sixth in the 82nd minute.
And England legend Lineker clearly felt that it was a one-sided affair at Stamford Bridge.
Lineker tweeted after Pedro’s opener: “Pedro scored a lovely opener for @ChelseaFC.”
He then added: “Qarabag being ripped to shreds by Chelsea.”
Chelsea will now switch their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their crunch clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues have won their last four games in all competitions to leave them in third place in the Premier League table and with nine points from their opening four top-flight games.
