The England striker has made an impressive start to his professional career after Louis van Gaal handed the teenager his chance in the first team in 2015-16.
Rashford came off the bench in the second half of Manchester United’s victory over Basel to score their third goal in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The 19-year-old’s late effort was his first goal in the competition and means the striker has now scored on his Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, EFL Cup and England debut.
Rashford has made an impressive start to the 2017-18 season thanks to a return of three goals and one assist in five appearances in all competitions.
And Gerrard joked that he isn’t happy to see Liverpool’s big rivals have such a prodigious talent in their ranks.
“I think he’s very good. He has a huge future ahead of him,” Gerrard told BT Sport on Tuesday night.
“It’s great that he’s English not so good he is a Man United player from my point of view. He has everything to his game.
“He scores all kind of different goals. He has the courage and the character to step up while there is big names around.”
Manchester United were 3-0 winners against Basel in their Champions League opener to continue their impressive start to the 2017-18 season.
The Red Devils have won three of their opening four Premier League games to secure top spot in the table.
