Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini praised his side’s defensive performance against Inter Milan after Sunday’s goalless draw at the San Siro.

The two sides were inseparable after 90 minutes to leave Rafael Benitez’s Inter second in the Serie A standings with Lazio keeping their two-point lead over the reigning champions.

“We worked this week with the video to improve our shape defensively,” said Chiellini, whose side edged into seventh place following the result. “We limited Eto’o and Sneijder who did not find much space between the lines.”

The 26-year-old added the result was a fair reflection on the performance of both teams.

“The result for me as I saw the game is certainly right,” stated the Juventus centre-back.
