Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique has dismissed speculation linking him with a return to the Premier League.

The former Manchester United defender rejoined the Catalan club in 2008 after four years at Old Trafford.

A product of the famed Barcelona youth system, Pique opted to return to his boyhood club and has since become an integral part of the Spanish champions’ defence.

Recent reports had suggested Manchester City were ready to table a €60million bid for the 23-year-old in January. Pique, however, has dismissed the rumours and has committed his future to Barcelona.

“I heard this news, but my mind is focused on Barcelona,” said Pique. “It is not a question of money, I will not return to the Premier League.”
