Nani sets his sights on becoming the world’s best

Portuguese winger Nani is convinced he can become one of the best players in the world.
The Manchester United winger’s impressive form this season has seen him become a crucial part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad.
“I want to be one of the best players,” Nani said. “In the future, I want everyone to be saying Nani is one of the best players in the world. That is my ambition.”
The 23-year-old’s place in the right side of United’s midfield has been strengthened by the absence of Antonio Valencia, who suffered a long-term ankle injury at the beginning of the season.
Nani, who moved to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon for €25.5million in 2007, has benefited from the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez and has become one of the Premier League’s most eye-catching performers this season.
“Since I came to Manchester I always said I believed in my qualities and my capabilities,” said Nani. “Eventually I got my opportunities.
“I always knew I could play well and be an important member of the team. I enjoy the pressure of being an important member of the side.
He added: “When you have the ambition to be a top player you have to like the pressure as well.”
