Palmeiras looking to land Adriano and Ronaldinho
Brazilian side Palmeiras have tabled bids for both Adriano and Ronaldinho, the club’s vice president has revealed.
The Sao Paolo side, managed by former Chelsea boss Luis Felipe Scolari, want to strengthen their squad following a disappointing domestic campaign.
And Scolari is targeting Roma striker Adriano and AC Milan star Ronaldinho in a bid to bolster the club’s offensive options ahead of the new season.
“It is a dream that could well come true, we are already working towards that, both Adriano and Ronaldinho,” said club vice president Salvador Hugo Palaia.
“The two will be difficult, but we will try every measure possible to bring one or both of them in. The proposals have already been made.”
The news comes after reports surfaced claiming that Liverpool had made an enquiry over a possible move for Ronaldinho. At the time, Reds midfielder Lucas Leiva commented: “It would be great to play with him at Liverpool.
“Everyone knows Ronaldinho’s quality and what he can do. Without doubt it would be a great boost for us.”
