Fabio Capello praises England youngsters after Denmark win
England manager hails the national side's young talent after convincing win over Denmark on Wednesday

England manager Fabio Capello praised his young stars, including Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, following his side’s victory 2-1 over Denmark.
Goals from Darren Bent and Ashley Young clinched victory for England after the visitors had initially gone behind to an effort from Liverpool defender Daniel Agger.
The game also saw Frank Lampard handed the captain’s armband for the first time at international level in the absence of Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard while his Chelsea team-mate Ashley Cole became the most capped England full-back.
Wilshere made his first full England debut in Copenhagen and Capello was pleased with the 19 year-old’s Arsenal midfielder’s performance.
“I am happy with the result and happy with the performance of some of the players,” said Capello. “Wilshere did well and played with confidence and made an interesting debut. It is too early to decide who will play against Wales, but it was an important game for him and for me.”
Capello also praised Aston Villa duo Darren Bent and Ashley Young, who both got on the score-sheet.
The England manager added: “Darren Bent has scored a goal and he had a chance to score a second goal – twice. He played well and worked a lot and helped the team when we needed to press.
“Ashley was in a new position [for us], but the same position for Aston Villa he played well, ran a lot and scored a goal. I think all the team played well and no-one is injured which is really important for the clubs.”
