Adlington and Payne celebrate World Championship titles
Rebecca Adlington and Keri-anne Payne celebrate their World Championship titles at the British Gas Big Dip
Newly crowned World Champions Rebecca Adlington and Keri-anne Payne have been celebrating their success with an appearance at the British Gas Big Dip urban swimming festival in London.
Payne won gold in the 10km open water event in Shanghai, while Adlington clinched her first world title in the 800m freestyle and a silver medal in the 400m freestyle.
The pair, who landed back in the UK on Tuesday, were at the swimming festival on Clapham Common to talk about the team’s success and encourage youngsters at the event to follow in their footsteps.
The British Gas Big Dip is the UK’s ultimate urban swimming festival. Over the past month it has provided free swimming lessons for 1,200 local youngsters.
