Sir Alex Ferguson: Six teams could win the Premier League
Manchester United manager believes "five or six" teams are in with a chance of winning the title this season

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is predicting that as many as six teams will battle it out for this season’s Premier League title.
Ferguson guided the Red Devils to a record 19th title last term and his side have got off to a flying start this time around, winning their first three games and scoring 13 goals.
But the 69-year-old United manager, whose side travel to the Reebok Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, believes the English top flight is as competitive as ever.
“I think you could say that five or six teams will be involved,” he told Sky Sports. “It’s always hard to win the league.
“It’s a league that if you look at it, in the south you have the London teams like Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea and then you have ourselves, Manchester City and Liverpool in the north. It’s a really, really difficult league to win.”
Ferguson added: “You have to try and build teams that will last for a few years. We have done that quite successfully over the years. This is another example of trusting the young players and giving them opportunities.”
