Arsenal will host Premier League leaders Manchester City in the Carling Cup quarter-finals, while Liverpool will travel to Chelsea.
Roberto Mancini’s men, who thrashed Wolverhampton Wanderers 5-2 in the fourth round, will take on last year’s beaten finalists at Emirates Stadium in late November for a place in the semi-finals.
Liverpool will also travel to the capital after their 2-1 win over Stoke City in midweek to face Chelsea, who overcame Everton after extra-time at Goodison Park.
Manchester United have been handed a home tie against Championship side Crystal Palace, while Blackburn Rovers will take on Cardiff in Wales.
