Kenny Dalglish delighted to have Steven Gerrard back
The return of Steven Gerrard has given Liverpool a welcome boost ahead of the visit of Manchester United

Kenny Dalglish admits he is thrilled to have Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard available for Saturday’s clash against Manchester United at Anfield.
Gerrard, 31, made his Premier League return for the Reds as a second-half substitute during their 2-0 derby victory over Everton after enduring a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a persistent groin problem.
And Dalglish is delighted to have the talismanic midfielder at his disposal once again as The Reds look to defeat their bitter rivals and close the gap on the leading pack at the top of the league table.
“A fit Steven Gerrard strengthens this football club, no question. If you have Steven in your squad, it’s going to raise the profile and standard,” said Dalglish.
“We want to have a really strong squad – and him being in it makes it that much stronger.”
Gerrard, who is widely tipped to start Saturday’s clash at Anfield, was not called up to the England squad for the 2-2 draw with Montenegro in Euro 2012 qualifying on Friday.
