Tottenham Hotspur have received a boost ahead of Monday’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa after it emerged that manager Harry Redknapp could be set to make his return to the touchline in Monday’s game.
The Spurs boss has been at home recovering after undergoing heart surgery earlier this month and has missed the Londoners’ last two games.
It had previously been reported that Redknapp would be out of action for at least four weeks – but assistant manager Joe Jordan has now revealed he could be ready for Monday night’s match at White Hart Lane.
“Harry could be back for the Villa game. He’s very keen and optimistic of that happening,” said Jordan. “It will depend on his conversation with the medical people who are giving him advice, If he comes to the game he’ll be on the bench.”
The treatment Redknapp underwent is known as a coronary angioplasty and is considered a routine procedure.
