‘Liverpool are a much better team than last season’
Goalkeeper Pepe Reina believes Liverpool are on the verge of becoming Premier League title challengers

Pepe Reina believes Liverpool are much improved from last season and is convinced they are moving in the right direction to challenge for the Premier League title once again.
The Merseyside club have enjoyed a remarkable turnaround since Fenway Sports Group completed their takeover of the club last year and appointed Kenny Dalglish as manager in January.
And Reina admits The Reds, who are sixth in the Premier League table, are now in a much more stable overall position than they were 12 months ago.
“We are a much better team than last season,” said Reina. “We have strength in the team and the squad and it has become competitive right now.”
The Spain international believes the progress made by the club over the last year is just a small stride towards launching a title challenge.
“It is just the first step we have to take in a long-term project. Things are improving but we want to be even better and at some point be champions of the Premier League again.”
