Landon Donovan reveals his delight at Everton loan move
USA midfielder hoping to enjoy another successful spell with Everton after sealing a two-month loan deal with the club

Landon Donovan is ready to relish his second chance to impress at Everton after sealing another two-month loan deal with the Goodison Park club.
The 29-year-old sparkled for the Merseyside outfit during his short spell with the club two seasons ago – and the LA Galaxy midfielder is hoping to make a similar impression this time around.
“I am really excited to get back here and play,” he said. “Since being here first time I’ve played in a World Cup and had another couple of years’ experience so I feel more prepared this time.
“I know exactly what I am getting into and exactly what is expected of me and hopefully I can fit in. Sometimes I think life is about expectations. Last time there was zero expectations so I can only make up from that.
“I understand there is some level of pressure and expectation but all footballers deal with that. I don’t worry about that, I want to enjoy my two months here and the way I play I think I can help the team.”
Donovan, who trained with the club on Friday, could make his first appearance in the Premier League clash against Bolton Wanderers on 4 January at Goodison Park.
Manager David Moyes is hoping the USA international will be ready for that game and is confident he will give his side an attacking edge. “We’re delighted to have Landon back, he’s trained today and it’s easy for him to settle in with a great group of boys here who will make it easy for him,” Moyes told evertontv.
“He looks in decent condition and we’ll try and give him a good four of five days training and have him ready as soon as we possibly can. The first game he can play in is Bolton so we’ll try and get him available for that.
“We hope he can make us some goals, he’s not a prolific goal-scorer but we hope he can hit the ground running and that his fitness gives us an added boost.”
