Video: Steve Kean insists ‘no ultimatum’ from Blackburn Rovers owners
Blackburn boss Steve Kean spoke with the club's owners after the West Brom defeat but there was no suggestion his job is on the line
Steve Kean insists there has been no suggestion his job is under threat after he held talks with Blackburn Rovers’ owners on Sunday.
Blackburn, who suffered a 2-1 defeat by West Bromwich Albion on Saturday to heap further pressure on Kean, take on fellow strugglers Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday.
“I have spoken with the owners for 45 minutes yesterday. There was no suggestion of an ultimatum,” Kean told a news conference on Monday.
“We had a real good conversation. We are looking forward to the transfer window opening so we can try and get a couple in who can hit the ground running and make an impact.
“There is pressure tomorrow but we have to enjoy it. From the first minute there will be pressure. You have to show courage to accept it.”
