Prediction: Frampton to beat Hughes by late TKO

Carl Frampton, the Commonwealth super bantamweight champion, takes on the tall and awkward southpaw Kris Hughes in York Hall, Bethnal Green on Saturday night. Frampton is the favourite going into the bout but must get past his opponent’s six-inch height advantage and superior reach to succeed. However, Frampton is the far superior boxer and puncher and will slowly wear Hughes down on the inside and force a late technical knockout. Hughes has only ever stopped one opponent in his professional career and will not be able to hurt the Northern Irishman.
