Harry Redknapp will pick the Tottenham Hotspur team to face Watford in the FA Cup fourth round clash on Friday, despite being on trial for tax evasion.

Spurs assistant manager Kevin Bond said Redknapp, who is due to be at Southwark Crown Court in London until Friday afternoon, will be at the game at Vicarage Road.

“Yes, he will be at the match and yes, he will pick the team,” Bond told a news conference on Thursday. “The fact that the manager has not been here has had very little impact.

“It’s a similar scenario to when Harry had small medical procedure. We didn’t have him for a week or so leading up to the Fulham game.

“The training carries on as normal, so there’s not a lot of difference except that Harry’s not here in the day.”

Redknapp and former Portsmouth owner Milan Mandaric are facing two charges of cheating the public revenue during their time at Fratton Park. Both Redknapp and Mandaric deny the charges.

“Harry will have a look at who’s fresh and who’s available – we’ve got one or two knocks,” continued Bond.

“We haven’t had a chance to discuss the team in great depth. There’s also a game four days after the match against Wigan at home that we have to consider.”
