London 2012: I don’t see myself as that attractive, says Jessica Ennis
Jessica Ennis admits she finds interest in her looks surreal after being unveiled as the cover star in February's Marie Claire

Jessica Ennis is the pin-up glamour girl of the London 2012 Olympics – only Pippa Middleton has a more ‘Googled bum’ according to statistics.
But in an interview and picture spread with glossy magazine Marie Claire, the former world heptathlon champion – who settled for silver in her title defence last year – admits she finds the interest in her looks surreal.
“I don’t even see myself as that attractive. My fiancé would say I am but I don’t see it,” she said.
“As an athlete, I suppose you see yourself in a different way to a lot of women. Your body is your whole career, it goes much deeper than looking good.
“I’ve gone through teenage years when I wanted a figure like everyone else. But as I’ve got older, I’ve been able to see my body in a different way ““ it’s a tool for my job.
“It’s not particularly feminine to be really muscular but you have to have that muscle tone to perform.”
