Video: Liverpool will be patient with Andy Carroll, says Kenny Dalglish

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish insists it is only a matter of time until Andy Carroll begins finding the net on a regular basis

Kenny Dalglish is confident Andy Carroll will eventually hit top form at Liverpool.

The 23-year-old striker has only netted four goals for the Reds this term following his £35m move from Newcastle United last January.

But Dalglish insists he is prepared to give the forward as much time as he needs as he looks to embark on a goalscoring run.

“He is good in the air but we’ve got to develop that, he’s got to develop that to work within our framework,” Dalglish said after Liverpool’s 2-1 FA Cup fourth-round victory over Manchester United at Anfield.

“We’ve got to work with him and we’ll be a lot more patient than a lot of other people will, and I’m sure we’ll get our rewards in the end. And we’re starting to bear fruits now.”
