Scott Parker challenges Tottenham to continue ‘fantastic’ season
Scott Parker wants Tottenham Hotspur to maintain their impressive form by winning key games over the coming weeks

Scott Parker has urged Tottenham Hotspur to keep their “fantastic” season going by winning their key fixtures over the next four weeks.
Third-placed Spurs currently trail Premier League leaders Manchester City by seven points, with Harry Redknapp’s side preparing for tough games against Newcastle, Arsenal and Manchester United in the coming weeks.
“It’s been a fantastic season and there is still a long way to go,” said Parker. “We need to stay strong and to build on what we’ve done.
“We’ve missed key players as well, we’ve got a lot of players out. I’m excited with what’s in progress here and looking forward to the remaining games.”
Parker, who spent two seasons at Newcastle, is expecting a tough game against Alan Pardew’s Magpies at White Hart Lane on Saturday – but the England midfielder is backing Spurs to seal victory.
“I’m sure it will be a great game,” said Scott. “Newcastle are in good form, they are doing well and it will be tough. We’re at home and we look forward to it. We’re strong at home.
“Newcastle have got a good squad and a very good manager who is organised and it will be a difficult game, but we’ll look to win it.”
