Video: Roberto Mancini focused on Man City’s title challenge
Roberto Mancini insists Manchester City must concentrate on their own displays & forget about their rivals if they want to win the title
Roberto Mancini insists Manchester City are focused on their Premier League title challenge after their comprehensive 3-0 victory against Fulham on Saturday.
Goals from Sergio Aguero, Adam Johnson and Edin Dzeko helped City extend their lead to three points over fierce rivals Manchester United, who play Chelsea on Sunday.
But Mancini does not believe the result puts Sir Alex Ferguson’s side under pressure, with the Italian pointing out that the Red Devils have plenty of experience when it comes to title run-ins.
“I don’t think United have more pressure,” said Mancini. “They are used to it because they always stay there.
“Like us, they know if you want to win this league you have to win all your games and not think about other teams.
“We know we are fighting against fantastic teams like Manchester United and Tottenham. Therefore it is important we only think about our own title bid.”
