Our man-in-the-know on the European scene is predicting Ronaldo to score, but crucially, Barcelona to win in what should be a free scoring edition of El Clásico at Camp Nou.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s record is improving against Barcelona. He netted in both legs of the Copa del Rey earlier this season – and he scored the winner in last season’s final. The former Manchester United midfielder also scored in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup at Camp Nou back in August, and the Portuguese winger will be on penalty duty on Saturday. So, El Tipstro reckons 11/8 for Ronaldo to score at any time is definitely worth a bet in this one.
Barcelona have won six of their last seven league games against Real Madrid, with José Mourinho’s side managing a 1-1 draw at the Bernabéu last season. It all amounts to Barcelona’s best ever run against their bitter rivals. The Catalans have only dropped two points at home all season, and with Guardiola’s side needing to win, Barcelona look excellent value at 8/13.
Barcelona are La Liga’s most exciting team and nine of their last 10 games at Camp Nou have finished with over 2.5 goals. The league game between these two sides earlier in the season finished 2-1, while their Copa del Rey encounter produced seven goals, and their Spanish Super Cup meeting resulted in nine goals. El Tipstro considers over 2.5 goals on Saturday to be an excellent bet at 4/7.
Barcelona and Madrid have both scored in the last six El Clásico meetings. Guardiola’s side will be desperate to secure the win to narrow Madrid’s lead to a single point, while Mourinho’s men will be eager to all but seal their first La Liga title in four seasons with victory. So, both teams to score looks an excellent bet at 8/13.
While Madrid have started well against Barcelona in recent meetings, the defending Spanish champions have invariably responded and are unbeaten in seven straight El Clásicos. In two of their last three meetings, Mourinho’s side have taken an early lead but gone on to lose to Barcelona. So, El Tipstro’s long shot for this special edition is for Barcelona to win from behind at the extremely tempting odds of 6/1.
