England winger Chris Ashton admits there is unfinished business with South Africa when they come over to the UK this autumn.

The Springboks won the three-Test series against the Red Rose this summer 2-0, drawing the final game in Port Elizabeth 14-14.

And Ashton, who last year equalled the record for most tries scored in a single RBS 6 Nations with six efforts, insists he and his team-mates will be ready for the South Africans when they come to Twickenham.

“South Africa is one we’re going to be looking towards,” said Ashton, who has joined Saracens from Northampton over the summer.

“Going over there was pretty tough on us. I think we’ll be ready for them coming over here on our home ground. I’m looking forward to that one especially.

“New Zealand of course is always a good game and a chance for us to see where we’re at with all the big teams coming over.

“[Being at Saracens] is like the first day at school! I’m looking forward to it.

“A new start, a new challenge, I can’t wait to get in there and get going.

“I’ve had two weeks off and am already sick of being sat at home. I want to get in there and get started. I’m really looking forward to it. Hopefully it will go well.”
