Hazard set up Branislav Ivanovic for Chelsea’s opener and won a penalty in their routine 2-0 win at Wigan on Sunday in an eye-catching man-of-the-match display.
And the 21-year-old playmaker set up two of the Blues’ goals as Chelsea ran out 4-2 winners against Reading at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday to move top of the Premier League table.
Cahill, who scored Chelsea’s equaliser after the home side found themselves 2-1 down to Brian McDermott’s men, was full of praise for both Hazard and Fernando Torres after the game.
“It is fantastic for Fernando because he has two goals now and is up and running,” said Cahill.
“He has started the season well with goals and long may it continue, and our right-back [Ivanovic] has popped up with two goals this season, too.
“I also thought Eden Hazard was fantastic, really special. He did well against Wigan and I thought against Reading he was amazing.”
