The Eastlands outfit’s closest rivals have all strengthened their squads this summer, with Chelsea signing Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and Oscar, and Manchester United adding Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have splashed out on Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla.
Roberto Mancini is yet to make any new signings this summer but Touré is confident the champions can still successfully retain their crown.
“We are ready to defend our title,” Touré told the FA’s website. “Our captain and manager have agreed new long-term deals and it is important for this club to have stability at all levels.
“It means there will be no changes or disruption to what has proved a winning formula and for the long term, that can only be good for Manchester City.
“Now the manager can continue to build this club and plan for the future – let’s not forget Sir Alex Ferguson has been at Manchester United for 25 years and they haven’t done too badly over the years.
“On a personal level, I’m very happy because I want to win many more trophies with City and the manager has the same mentality as I do – he wants to win everything with this club and so do I.”
City face Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday, and the Ivory Coast midfielder believes it is crucial Mancini’s side start a winning trend as early as possible.
“I have enjoyed the summer break and spending quality time with my family and managed to relax and recharge my batteries, “ added Touré. “Now I’m ready for the new season.
“We ended last season on such a high that there is a real spring in everyone’s step and it’s been great to catch up with the guys again – I see them more than my family so I think we all appreciate a few weeks apart.
“It is important we start well against Chelsea – we were very disappointed to lose against United last year and we don’t want a repeat of that feeling.”
