To celebrate the launch of a special golden edition of Gillette’s ProGlide Fusion razor, a shop in Wuerzburg was kitted out with its very own winners’ podium.
The new razors were placed tantalisingly out of reach, meaning customers had no choice but to climb into the gold medal position in order to grab their product.
And, as soon as they did, they unwittingly triggered wild scenes of celebration in the shop, as music blared out and dancers, weightlifters, gymnasts and girls in bikinis appeared to celebrate the man’s mini-triumph.
The scenes sparked priceless expressions of confusion and surprise on some of the men’s faces, while others appeared more than happy to enjoy their moment in the spotlight as they celebrated their achievement.
So why go to all this trouble? The answer is simple, according to Gillette: All men deserve to be celebrated like gold medal winners.
Gillette, whose first shaver hit the shelves in 1903, say that more than 70 per cent of women prefer a man with a shaved face. So next time you’re out to pick up a Gillette razor, remember to savour that winning feeling.
