He’ll fit in at Stoke! Twitter reacts to reports of Adam’s Liverpool exit
Stoke City make a £5m bid for Liverpool's Charlie Adam, prompting a flurry of activity from fans on Twitter

Stoke City have lodged a £5m bid to sign Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam ahead of the transfer deadline on Friday.
The 26-year-old has made 37 appearances for the Reds since joining from Rangers in a £9m deal last summer but Liverpool supporters welcomed reports of Adam’s exit on Twitter.
Here are some of the Tweets that caught our eye.
Graeme Brown (@graeme_brown) reckons Adam will fit in at Stoke: “Always thought Charlie Adam doesn’t have the agility to play in a Premier League midfield. Don’t envisage that being a problem at Stoke.”
Tom Wilkins (@Wilko7_) wants Liverpool to sell Adam to fund a move for Fulham’s Clint Dempsey: “Get rid of Charlie Adam to fund Dempseys move. Sell Carroll for around £19m if we can and go for Theo Walcott!! #LFC”
Thomas Molyneux (@tommolyneux11) is also hoping Dempsey and Theo Walcott move to Anfield: “Charlie Adam will leave #lfc today. I expect Carroll, Jay Spearing and maybe downing to follow. And then hopefully Dempsey and Walcott to join!”
Kop This (@DaleLFC1983) reckons Adam and Carroll will try to resist a move away: “I can see Andy Carroll and Charlie Adam both rejecting any move away! Take a hint lads you are not wanted in the plans!
But Dean Bedford (@DeanBedford90) backs Stoke’s bid: “Pablo Henderez to Swansea and Charlie Adam to Stoke. If they both go through then two very impressive signings!”
MickyB! (@DenchMB96) isn’t sure who would be getting a worse deal: “I don’t know who to feel sorry for Charlie Adam or Stoke!? Adam won’t fit in there, he prefers to pass around not hoof to crouch’s head…”
Daniel Marsh (@MarshEfc) is not keen on a Everton move for Adam: “I do not want Charlie Adam. Would rather buy a young promising player for £5m! #EFC!”
Andre Schürrle (@Michael_Hoggggg) is similarly enthused: “Pray to god we don’t sign Charlie Adam or Kevin Doyle, relegation battling footballers.”
Matthew Pye (@pye1985) is not happy about the touted fee: “£4m for Charlie Adam is still overpaying in my book!”
Russ Mellor (@YNWA_Mellor) reckons Adam will join Aston Villa: “I think Charlie Adam will end up at Villa. #AVFC Tried to sign him last time. Will be a good signing just not going to get in front of Allen!”
Stuart Lane (@stuwie84yid) doesn’t think Adam belongs in the top flight: “If Charlie Adam gets a move inside the Premier League he’s had a touch. Championship footballer at best!”
Finally, Sam Walker (@samwalker23) can’t understand how Jordan Rhdoes is costing more than Adam or Scott Sinclair: “Can someone tell me how on earth Jordan Rhodes is valued at £8m when Scott Sinclair is going for £6.2m and Charlie Adam for £5m? #joke”
