Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs believes Tom Cleverley will become a regular for England and the Red Devils

Ryan Giggs believes Tom Cleverley will become a regular for England and Manchester United after the midfielder impressed in the Three Lions’ 5-0 victory over Moldova.
The 23-year-old won a fourth-minute penalty which Frank Lampard converted to give the visitors an early lead en route to claiming three points in their opening 2014 World Cup qualifier.
“He is a really good player. He had a really good start last season and then got injured and it was a bit of a stuttering season,” Giggs told Sky Sports News.
“But, this year, I was with him at the Olympics and he was brilliant and he has started the season on fire.
“Hopefully he can go through the season injury-free and I am sure he will play lots of games for United and England.”
Lampard, who played alongside Cleverley and Steven Gerrard in Roy Hodgson’s midfield against Moldova, was also impressed by the United youngster’s impact, while praising Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
“Tom played with such intelligence in midfield, he’s a pleasure to play with and at such a young age he’s going to be right in the middle of the team for many years to come,” Lampard told the FA’s website.
“And Alex was brilliant. He lit up the first half with his injection of pace and running with the ball. It’s great to see exciting young players like that playing for England.”
