Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas sings Jermain Defoe’s praises
Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas is full of praise for striker Jermain Defoe after impressive start to the new season
Andre Villas-Boas has heaped praise on Jermain Defoe following the Tottenham striker’s impressive start to the season.
Defoe has already netted four goals for Spurs after he ended speculation over his future by penning a fresh three-year deal at White Hart Lane in the summer.
The 29-year-old has started all five of Tottenham’s league games this season and Villas-Boas was gushing with praise for the England international ahead of Spurs’ trip to Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
“He has been immense for the team,” said Villas-Boas
“For a striker, goals are decisive and he has four in the Premier League. He’s not far off being top scorer and he has been creating so much.
“I can’t put anything of his in to question. He has desire, his motivation is there, and his movement is fantastic so we hope he will continue in this way.”
