Hamann, Shelvey & more: Twitter reacts to Liverpool’s Europa loss
Didi Hamann and Jonjo Shelvey all Tweet their thoughts on a mixed night for the British clubs in the Europa League

Steven Gerrard and Suárez were unable to inspire Liverpool to a late comeback after Udinese were 3-2 winners at Anfield in the Europa League.
Elsewhere, Tottenham could only draw 1-1 with Panathinaikos, while Newcastle United sealed an emphatic 3-0 victory over Bordeaux at St James’ Park.

Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon (@Aaron7Lennon) was disappointed to see Spurs surrender a lead: “Not the result we wanted, but we will concentrate on getting the win on Sunday. Great support as usual making the trip out here – get home safe. Also thank you for all the messages on the England call up.”

Toon striker Samuel Ameobi (@Sammy_Ameobi) is pleased: “Good win!”
Finally, Didi Hamann (@DietmarHamann) comments on his two former clubs: “Well impressed with Newcastle tonight not so much with Liverpool …conceding far too many goals!”
