Video: Find out why you'd have to be barking mad to have missed the Incredible Dog Challenge this weekend

The world’s most athletic dogs showed what the Olympic and Paralympic Games are missing at the 15th Incredible Dog Challenge at the weekend.

Some of the world’s most athletic dogs competed in front of hundreds of people at the 2012 National Finals of the Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge on Saturday in Gray Summit, Missouri.

If you are barking enough not to have heard of the competition before, it was the 15th anniversary of this elite canine sporting event.

The dogs jumped, vaulted and dove their way into the record books at they competed in Olympic-style events, including dog diving. freestyle flying disc, 30-weave pole racing and Jack Russell hurdle racing.

The events will hopefully have given the competitors and their pets a new leash of life and they could well collar a few more spectators into watching next year.
