Tom Cleverley says he is relishing playing alongside Manchester United new-boy Shinji Kagawa this season.
Japan international Kagawa has made a positive start to his career at Old Trafford after sealing a big-money move to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund this summer, netting two goals in six appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men.
Cleverley admits he has been impressed by the 23-year-old’s impact at United and is enjoying linking up with the playmaker.
“I’ve really enjoyed playing with Shinji,” Cleverley told Inside United. “He’s really on my wavelength when it comes to playing one and two-touch football.”
Cleverley was also full of praise for United’s other new recruits, Robin van Persie and teenager Nick Powell.
“They’ve all brought so much,” he continued. “We all know what Robin van Persie is about and Nick Powell is a really good footballer and a good lad. He’s definitely one for the future.”
