Michael Owen praised Leighton Baines and Danny Welbeck after the pair helped England to a comfortable 5-0 victory over San Marino at Wembley.

Elsewhere, Gareth Bale’s brace secured Chris Coleman’s first win of his Wales reign, while the Republic of Ireland succumbed to a heavy defeat by Germany.
