Chelsea should have beaten Liverpool, insists Petr Cech
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech says the Blues deserved to beat Liverpool after being held to a draw at Stamford Bridge

Petr Cech feels Chelsea deserved to win their Premier League clash with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and admits the Blues were punished for failing to extend their lead.
Roberto Di Matteo’s men took a 20th-minute lead when John Terry nodded home Juan Mata’s corner, but the hosts were pegged back when Luis Suárez directed Jamie Carragher’s flick-on past Cech in the 73rd minute to earn a point for the Reds.
Cech felt the west Londoners were in control of the game but were guilty of allowing their opponents to grow in belief after being unable to net a second goal.
“It was exactly the game which shows how difficult the Premier League is when you don’t kill a game off,” said Cech.
“We had complete control for 70 minutes and had so many chances you would think it is just a matter of time until we score a second or third, but unfortunately we didn’t and allowed them to be alive, and then they came back into the game.
“The goal helped them and it opened the game, and in the end they could have won but we should have won the game.”
