Javier Hernández inspired Manchester United to a comeback at Villa Park after the Mexican striker scored twice in a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Everton kept up their pursuit of fourth place with a 2-1 win against Sunderland, while Stoke City heaped further misery on Queens Park Rangers, and Arsenal were held to a 3-3 draw by Fulham.

Here is the best of the reaction from the professionals on Twitter.

Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar (‏@therealstevenpi) is frustrated by his own performances recently: “If things are not going your way, you have to put a shift in and that’s what I’m doing. Bit too eager to give a fancy pass. It was tough day at the office but we came through and that’s important. Three points that all that counts.”

Pienaar’s team-mate John Heitinga (‏@Johnheitinga) pays credit to the Toffees supporters: “Great comeback #Everton against #Sunderland. YESSS! You made it possible! Great support of our fans! #COYB”

Everton centre-half Sylvain Distin ‏(@sylvaind15tin) is also pleased: “Well deserved three points…once again we showed some great character and determination!”

Meanwhile, man of the moment Marouane Fellaini (‏@fellainiM) is satisfied with the victory: “Well played guys ! Tough match but three points. It is the most important thing!!!”

Sunderland defender Carlos Cuellar (‏@Cuellar24) is disappointed to lose at Goodison Park: “Tough defeat and we didn’t deserve it! Thank you very much for your support I wish you all a safe trip back home. #hawaythelads”

Stoke’s match-winner Charlie Adam (‏@Charlie26Adam) pays tribute to his team-mates and the fans: “Just like to thank the my team-mates and supporters after scoring first goal for Stoke today!”

Adam’s colleague Robert Huth ‏(@robert_huth) is pleased with a vital win: “Needed that win today. Not pretty though!! Who cares.. Home fans were brilliant!”

Stoke strker Michael Owen (‏@themichaelowen) agrees: “Not our greatest performance but a huge three points. #potters”

Swansea defender Ashley Williams ‏(@AshWills84) is pleased by the Welsh side’s response to come from a goal behind and get a point at Southampton: “This team has character….”

West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster (‏@BenFoster) praises the Baggies for a determined display: “Get in there boys!!!!!! Great win. I HATE watching games like that!!!”

Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan (‏@piersmorgan) wants a managerial change: “16pts from 11 games: “Arsenal’s worst start to League season in 30yrs. At what point is it NOT ‘sacrilege’ to want a new manager? #WengerOut”

Former United defender Gary Neville (‏@GNev2) could sense a comeback was on the cards when Hernández netted his first: “Best I’ve seen Aston Villa for an hour but once the first went in you just knew!”

Ex-Aston Villa striker Ian Taylor (‏@IanTaylor7) pays credit to Villa for a good performance: “We can take a lot of heart from that performance. Let’s try and kick on. Only Man City next week….bring it on! #avfc 2 #mufc 3”

Meanwhile, former Wimbledon striker Jason Euell (‏@jasoneuell) reckons Hernández is the new super sub: “Solskjaer who???? Hernández is the one now… Haha ( No disrespect to Ole by the way)!”

Finally, Liverpool legend Didi Hamann (‏@DietmarHamann) is impressed by how clinical Hernande is: “Hernández certainly knows where the ball drops and where the goal is #harshonvilla!”
