QPR’s Hoilett: We got a rollicking from Hughes at half-time
QPR forward Junior Hoilett reveals the players "got a rollicking" from Mark Hughes at half-time in their 3-1 loss to Southampton

Junior Hoilett has revealed the Queens Park Rangers players “got a rollicking” from Mark Hughes at half-time in their 3-1 loss to Southampton on Saturday.
Goals from Rickie Lambert and Jason Puncheon put the Saints in charge at Loftus Road, and although Hoilett scored early in the second half, Anton Ferdinand’s own goal secured victory for the visitors.
It leaves QPR at the foot of the Premier League table and five points from safety, with the Hoops yet to record a victory this term.
“The first half just wasn’t good enough,” Hoilett told QPR’s website.
“We came out second to everything and that’s not acceptable.
“We got a rollicking from the manager at half-time. We came out strong in the second half, but we left ourselves with too much to do to get ourselves back into the game.
“We’ve just got to look to the next game now and push on from here.”
QPR face a daunting trip to second-placed Manchester United on Saturday, and Hoilett urged his team-mates to rally together to cause an upset at Old Trafford.
“We’re all really disappointed and frustrated with how things are going at the moment, but we will work hard to put it right,” he added.
“I can understand the fans’ frustrations. We’re as frustrated as they are because we want to change this around and climb the table.
“We’ve got to stick together as a team.
“The next one is a tough one against Manchester United but we need to treat it like any other.
“We need to work hard in training this week as a team and be ready for Old Trafford.”
