Alexandre Pato is on the verge of sealing a transfer to Corinthians from AC Milan, the Brazilian's agent confirms

Alexandre Pato is on the verge of sealing a transfer to Corinthians from AC Milan, according to the player’s agent.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move away from the San Siro in recent weeks, with the 23-year-old having suffered from a string of injuries in recent seasons.

Pato has scored two goals in seven appearances for Milan this season and his agent has confirmed that he is set to secure a move back to Brazil.

“Pato has chosen Corinthians,” Gilmar Veloz told Sky Sport 24. “Since he decided to return to Brazil, Corinthians was the first choice.

“I understood Pato needed to leave to experience another club and he chose Corinthians. And Galliani understood his reasons.

“Corinthians have welcomed him well, and they are doing everything possible to help [Pato] settle in.

“There are still some details to be resolved between the two clubs. But it is not for me to speak what exactly they are.”
