Arsenal keen to welcome back ‘legend’ Thierry Henry, says Jack Wilshere
Jack Wilshere would love to see Thierry Henry secure another short-term switch back to Arsenal in the January transfer window
Jack Wilshere is keen to see Thierry Henry return to Arsenal on a loan deal this winter.
The former Arsenal captain has been linked with another loan spell in north London after having returned to his former employers last season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger recently insisted that there are no developments on a possible deal for the New York Red Bulls striker.
But Wilshere would welcome the return of the 35-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.
“It would be great to have Thierry back, he is a legend,” Wilshere told the Daily Mirror.
“The fans love him. All the staff here, the ground staff, the medical staff, they all love him. He’s a legend. I think to have him around would give the whole club a lift.”
Asked about a possible move for Henry on Friday, Wenger replied: “I cannot tell you anything about it because nothing has happened.”
