Klaas-Jan Huntelaar would be keen to secure a transfer to Internazionale ahead of Arsenal or Liverpool, according to the Holland international’s agent.

The Schalke forward, who has less than six months left on his contract with the Bundesliga side, has been heavily linked with a move away from Schalke in recent weeks, with Arsenal reportedly keen on luring the 29-year-old to north London.

Liverpool have also been linked with a January swoop for the striker as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his attacking options.

But the player’s agent, Arnold Oosterveer, has hinted that the former Real Madrid forward would favour a move to Inter Milan, who are also chasing his signature.

“He would not mind playing in Milan again – especially because Inter would give him the chance to show he is a great player,” said Oosterveer.

Arsenal have been hopeful of snapping up the striker, who has netted 10 goals in 20 outings for Schalke this season, for £5m in January.
