Radamel Falcao has insisted he is “enjoying” life at Atletico Madrid despite continued reports linking the Colombia international with a move to Chelsea.

The 26-year-old scored a staggering five goals for Diego Simeone’s side as the Madrid outfit eased to a 6-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna at the Vicente Calderón on Sunday.

Falcao has now netted 16 goals in 14 La Liga games, with only Lionel Messi having scored more than the Atletico striker this term.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the forward with Fernando Torres’ form mixed but Falcao says he is happy with life at Atletico.

“I scored five in a game when I was little in Bogota,” he told Atletico’s website.

“And I got four playing for Porto against Villarreal but never five as a professional.

“I was very excited when I came to Atletico Madrid. It was a personal challenge to play in this great league with such a lot of good players.

“I am enjoying it. I have a great squad around me who are supporting me and helping me a great deal to develop as a professional.”
