Man City transfers: Mario Balotelli should join Milan, says Marco Amelia
Man City transfers: AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia urges the Citizens striker Mario Balotelli to return to Serie A
Marco Amelia has urged Mario Balotelli to quit Manchester City and join AC Milan ahead of the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old did not feature for City as the defending Premier League champions eased to a 4-3 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.
The Italy international has scored 30 goals in 75 appearances for the Citizens after completing a £20m move to the Etihad Stadium from Internazionale.
And Milan goalkeeper Amelia wants Balotelli to return to the San Siro and join the seven-time European champions.
“I’m not sure what will happen. As a friend and companion, I’d like Robinho and Pato remain, but now [they appear set to leave],” Amelia told Tuttosport.
“I do not know Mario well. I think he crossed a particular moment in his life and I think it might be good for him to come to Milan, this is an environment that allows certain types of behaviour and I’m sure he is willing to prove he can be a great player.”
