Harry Redknapp admits he would be interested in bringing LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane to Queens Park Rangers on a short-term loan in January.

The Republic of Ireland captain scored in LA Galaxy’s recent 3-1 victory in the MLS Cup final, capping an impressive debut campaign in the United States which saw him net 22 goals.

Redknapp took over from Mark Hughes at the Hoops in November, and the former Tottenham Hotspur manager has been linked with a host of players including David Beckham and Scott Parker.

And although the QPR manager remained coy on potential signings, the 65-year-old did admit he would look to make a number of low signings, with Keane a possibility.

“Robbie’s a good shout. He probably would be an interesting player,” said Redknapp. “I haven’t spoken to him yet, but he would be an interesting player.

“He’s a good pro and he would be the ideal type to have around for sure because he would give us something. He had a good season, scored goals and did well.”
