Tony Pulis was left to reflect on a “bad day at the office” after Swansea sealed a comprehensive win over Stoke City at the Liberty Stadium.
After a goalless first half, the Swans took the lead through Ben Davies in the 49th minute, before two goals from Jonathan de Guzman made it 3-0.
Stoke substitute Michael Owen did net a late goal for Pulis’ men but it was scant consolation after an impressive display by the home side.
“We had a bad day at the office – we weren’t right from the start,” Pulis, whose side remained in 10th place, told BBC Sport.
“You get these days during the season when, for whatever reason, it doesn’t go your way. That was one of those days.
“But I don’t want to take anything away from Swansea – they were fantastic.”
